Today should make it official: The Trump Presidency is a Failure   Leave a comment

https://i2.wp.com/thehill.com/sites/default/files/styles/thumb_small_article/public/gettyimages-646453354.jpg

…To say Trump crossed a line that should never have been crossed today goes without saying: You have a sitting president who defended Neo-Nazis, the KKK and White Supremacy 3 days after a woman was killed by one on National TV. According to some Washington insiders, his chief of staff will be on his knees all night begging people not to resign.

I’ll say it again: Donald J. Trump, weather he knows or not–I doubt it would change anything if he actually did–is a means to an end as far as the Republican Party is concerned. Can President Trump actually be impeached by a GOP-controlled Congress? Absolutely. They wouldn’t have supported his campaign almost unanimously if they didn’t think beyond reasonable doubt they could at the drop of a hat.

…Why haven’t they despite many of the things they’ve said? The timing’s not quite there yet but clearly it soon will be. We got a big clue that day might be sooner than later:

https://www.usnews.com/dims4/USNEWS/431f39c/2147483647/thumbnail/970x647/quality/85/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fmedia.beam.usnews.com%2F90%2F4d%2Fe35b8ee643d69af7397f12e2d36a%2Fresizes%2F1500%2F160803-ryanpence-editorial.jpg

As some of you might be aware, Vice President Mike Pence is currently in Venezuela on official business. As folks know, he defends Trump at every opportunity to the press. Aside from that, he hasn’t said much publicly since being sworn in as VP. This is deliberate. The term is “Plausible deniability”. Just like the press corps following Trump everywhere is part of the plan, so is the VP’s silence even now: The GOP is prepping him to step in when they pull the trigger on Trump’s exit. We already know he’s a career politician and can hold his own against the press. If you think Trump press conferences are cringe-worthy, you should see some of Pence’s recent ones.

Anywho, no doubt the GOP may be forced to move up those exit plans just to save face for the party. If alot of these “open” leaks are to be believed–something that would have never happened with the Obama, both Bushes or Clinton–the White House is in disarray.  At this point, it will be very easy for the GOP to present Pence as “Restoring dignity to the Office of the POTUS” as well as “Uniting the country”. Unfortunately for the rest of us, this means they will wait until critical mass to pull the trigger on Trump’s exit.

What does that mean?

Things will need a whole lot worse than it is now. That way they can really sell Pence as a “Savior” to the masses. What will it take? Well, the Russia thing isn’t going away anytime soon clearly. That’s one option. Another would be a military campaign going so bad, Congress is forced to step in. A third option is their own interests being directly threatened by him. I see the third one being the most likely personally.

Now, let’s get to one of the two ways Trump can be removed from office:

  1. Impeachment: Most likely.
  2. Resignation: Kidding! We know he won’t go down quietly.

Trump will be forcibly removed from office, hopefully after the American people wake up and force Congress to do it. Not unless they’re ok with having to deal with that and a Civil War at the same time.

In closing, it would be fair to say now that the Trump presidency is a failure. Today proved beyond reasonable doubt to the world Donald J. Trump does not speak for the American people. Today also proved beyond reasonable doubt the people need to rise up and remind our elected “officials” who works for who. The time to act is now.

This is not from the 1960s. Or the 1970s. This is not even from the early 1990s. This is from one of the many White Supremacist rallies that have been going on since Donald Trump was elected president. Until very recently the White Supremacists kept their activities mostly behind closed doors, online or invite-only private rallies.

Not anymore.

For the last 150 years, White Nationalism and White Supremacy have been allowed to not only survive but THRIVE in America. How? By hiding behind the guise of “Free Speech”, which the ACLU cites as why they litigate for them (as well as the Westboro Baptist Church). The “Alt-Right” movement Trump winked and nodded to during the campaign were White Nationalists and White Supremacists. Weather or not Trump really knew that doesn’t matter. The fact of the matter is he empowered them with his “Make America Great Again” slogan, which they have interpreted to mean “Make America White Again.”

On that note, I want to say again: Donald J. Trump himself is NOT a racist or a bigot. I will happily debate this point with anyone but the fact of the matter is Donald J. Trump is NOT a racist or a bigot.

Image may contain: 3 people, people smiling

It is also true that Donald Trump did not openly endorse White Nationalism during and after the campaign (despite calls online for him to do so) but he has done nothing to distance himself from those whose rheteoric calls for the annihilation of Jews and Blacks as well as “One pure race”. These same White Supremacists invoke his name during their speeches, saying they will “ensure he keeps his promise to make America great again”.

Why?

Because he used them for their votes thats why. These same White Supremacists make up 15% of those who voted for Trump, a fact they have tweeted to him and Steve Bannon daily since the election. Until Trump publicly denounces them and openly oppose them, their activities will continue. Many Republicans have come out to not only call on Trump to use stronger language but to condemn the White Surpremacist Rally in Charlottesville, VA as well. They called them what they are: Domestic Terrorists.

This is one of the most powerful pictures from Charlottesville, VA:

Image may contain: 1 person, text and outdoor
People like to compare this to photos that came out of Dallas last year during a Black Lives Matter protest that abruptly ended in violence when a sniper targeted law enforcement. To say this is a powerful photo goes without saying.

Anyway, their ideology is one this country fought a Civil War over and it lost. The world fought a similar war with higher stakes 80 years later and it lost. Yet the ideology has been allowed to not just endure but thrive through the ages. They advocate the extermination of Jews, Blacks and other minorities. They believe there is only “One Pure Race” and for this reason, they abhor the idea of interracial relationships nevermind biracial children. They’ve actually be agressively pushing that last point online urging Whites to “Keep our race pure”. I actually planned to talk about Biracial Relationships in general in an upcoming blog post so I’ll speak more to this “Breed with your own” foolishness then.

Look, I’ll close with this. This foolishness is a problem of the heart. You can pass all the legislation you want but the change starts on the inside. Take a look at the demonstrators above. They are all mostly young men. Even I was shocked to see that they weren’t the rank and file Older Generation most have come to expect. Clearly, they succeeded in passing on their messages of hate and intolerence to the next generation. They were lied to and told things that weren’t true in a bid to channel their hate and rage in unproductive ways.

This is why it is even more important than ever for Whites who do not share these views to speak up and speak out. Thankfully, our elected officials have wasted no time doing that. Most of them set the example everyone who is White and disagrees with the ideologies of White Nationalism and White Supremacy should follow. What they want is for you to stay silent. They know your silence means you’re either too scared to oppose them, you don’t know what to say or you agree with them. One or the other.

Do you have to speak out? If you feel as strongly as many people do, yes abolutely. It is no longer acceptible to remain silent. Even if you don’t know what the right words are, that’s fine too. Saying something is better than saying nothing. Even something as simple as “That’s not me.” or “I don’t want that.”

Breaking News: The Boston Celtics win the Gordon Hayward Sweepstakes   Leave a comment

https://i0.wp.com/www.totalprosports.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/Gordon-Hayward2-595x356.jpg

News revealed to be unconfirmed this afternoon is now official: Gordon Hayward is taking his talents to Boston. Hayward will sign a 4-year $128M contract with the Celtics, who were looking for a secondary scorer going into the offseason. The Celtics got just that when they drafted Jayson Tatum two weeks ago. With Hayward, it’s fair to say the Celtics are guaranteed to return to the Eastern Conference Finals this coming season.

…Mind you, the Celtics getting Hayward means they will have make room before he can be officially signed to the team. Minutes after the Hayward deal was announced, the Celtics announced they have released the rights to Kelly Olynik, making him an Unrestricted Free Agent. More players can be expected to be released, most of them draft picks from this year and last year currently stashed either overseas or in the D-League. Excluding Olynik and the draft picks stashed elsewhere, the Celtics have the rights to 19 players (!).

Most or all of the following players I expect to be either released or part of a trade to make room to sign Hayward:

  • Jae Crowder
  • Marcus Smart*
  • James Young
  • Terry Rozier
  • Gerald Green
  • Tyler Zeller*
  • Kelly Olynik*
  • Jonas Jerebko
  • Demitrius Jackson
  • Amir Johnson*
  • Avery Bradley*

Reports are coming in the Celtics are now fielding trade offers for Jae Crowder and Marcus Smart. Crowder’s name has come up as being part of a package deal. The 76ers announced over the weekend they signed Amir Johnson to a 2-year contract. Tyler Zeller was also waived over the weekend. The Celtics probably won’t have to give up everyone listed but at least half if I had to guess. The Celtics will likely part with either Smart or Crowder but I will not be surprised if they’re forced to give up both to make cap room.

It’s worth noting who I did not name in the above list. Isaiah Thomas will be an unrestricted free agent after the upcoming season but in light of the Hayward deal, you can be sure the Celtics will negotiate a new contract with the King of the 4th. They’d be fools not to.  Al Horford and Gerald Green joined the Celtics during last year’s offseason. Jaylen Brown was drafted last year and will be joined by Ante Zizic, who was also drafted last year but played in Europe last season.

…Next year promises to be real interesting now that the Celtics, who are now a legit threat to the Cleveland Caveliers in the East. The Wizards and Raptors will no longer be a threat to the Celtics or rather, they shouldn’t. Paul George and Jimmy Butler going to the Western Conference means the only real threat to Boston is still Cleveland.

You now have the starting lineup of IT, Horford, Brown, Tatum and Hayward. The next thing the Celtics will need to work on during the offseason is making sure they have enough players who can come off the bench to relieve the starters. LeBron James commented after Game 1 of the ECF the thing that makes the Celtics a challenge is how many options they have to go at you. No doubt the Celtics will want to keep enough supporting players to keep the rest of the east on their toes.

Update 7-7-2017:

As of this morning, Kelly Olynik has signed on with the Heat and Avery Bradley has been traded to the Pistons. The Celtics have reportedly been “aggressively” shopping Bradley, Crowder and Smart in the last few days to make room to sign Gordon Hayward. They have also released Olynik, Amir Johnson and Tyler Zeller. The Bradley Trade creates enough cap space for Hayward to be signed though they still might have to deal Crowder or Smart, likely in a trade.

Bradley’s gonna be a core player in Detroit and could make the All Star team this season. Everyone knows what he can do so…yeah. It’s sad to lose him like this but he’ll flourish with the Pistons.

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DD-wN5yXoAAcRck.jpg

…That brings me to the latest trade rumor: Now that Hayward’s a done deal, the Celtics are apparently very interested in getting NBA Veteran Marc Gasol from the Grizzlies. It would be a trade obviously and the Celtics can certainly trade for him. If the Celtics can pull the trigger and get him, it will be 2008 all over again. LOL. The Celtics could deal Crowder, Rozier and a draft pick for him. It would be win-win for both teams ^_^

Trump’s first 100 days should have made one thing clear: The GOP wants to rule, not govern   Leave a comment

…When you keep this in mind, everything that’s happened since Trump won the White House should make perfect sense. For those who don’t know, Henry Wallace was the 33rd Vice President of the United States opposite Franklyn D. Roosevelt during World War II. Now more than ever, his warning against the Oligarthy is painfully relevant. We are seeing what he warned about 70 years ago: What will happen when the rich and powerful control the government, rewrite the rules in their favor and put the squeeze on everyone else. It’s an exaggeration to call it a form of enslavement but it’s not that far off from the reality either.

…Keep this in mind: We may never know who ordered the hit on JFK (everyone agrees James Earl Ray wasn’t acting alone) but we do know why. The timing for this quote is just like that of Martin Luther King’s last speech the night before he was killed. JFK learned about a conspiracy by some very powerful people who had no problem having him killed to keep power. The elite ruling class who now control this country care only about power and profits. They could care less how many lives are destroyed or killed along the way.

Nevermind Donald Trump. Like I said before in past blog posts, he’s the distraction they’re using to keep the public and the media’s attention. Now, it goes without saying Trump himself is not a Republican. Everyone knows that. Trump himself proved something very important that he said during the second debate last fall. He proved beyond reasonable doubt Democracy in America is a lie. He proved an admitted sexual predator and con artist can become POTUS. He proved it by actually becoming president.

https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/c0/25/1c/c0251c73bf8652253aa4d55b4215f038.jpg
…The irony of quote goes without saying: Originally used by racists and the GOP as justification for their personal attacks against Barack Obama during his presidency, it has taken on a whole new meaning in light of the 45th President. Trump has made it no secret he’s an egolomaniac who can’t handle criticism from even his own base of supporters. He was one of Obama’s loudest critics during the past 8 years. Now, he only surrounds himself with Yes-Men and conspirators who have their own self-interests in mind.

https://i1.wp.com/cdn.quotesgram.com/img/42/18/350105411-Einstein-on-socialism.jpg

…Folks need to keep in mind Capitalism by its very nature means anything including an idea has a price that can be bought snd sold. The irony of the board game Monopoly is it’s no longer just a “game”. Laws and Regulations were passed in the 60 years after the Civil War to stop the Tycoons and Barons of the era from having dominating the economy. The Great Depression says hi. After the country collapsed and faith in the state was at an all-time low, newly elected president Franklyn D. Roosevelt introduced policies and reforms that helped prep the U.S. for World War II: A Socialist Economy. If not for this policy, the U.S. wouldn’t have been as prepared as it was to commit fully to the war effort in Europe and the Pacific.

The obvious question to be asked: Why is a Socialist Economy so vehemently opposed now? I’ll tell you. It’s because it’s a threat to the interests of men and companies who only care about money and greed. It is for this same reason they are so against welfare programs and social services aimed to help the most vulnerable. Their logic is “Why should I have to give a starving child a free bowl of soup or a homeless man a free pair of shoes when I can sell them and turn a profit?” Even worse, they brainwash those who don’t see the big picture into believing “You don’t want to pay taxes to help the homeless. They’re lazy bums who don’t want to work.”

https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/36/2f/34/362f34734777e052b0685dcd7d0e3b2d.jpg

…This is the logic of the GOP and the Elite Ruling Class. This is also why they not only ensure public school students are denied a proper education AND force college students into debt for life but continue to perpetuate the lie “This is the way it should be”. No, what they’re doing is ensuring future generations will be easy to fool, control and exploit is all. The most effective form of slavery is convincing the slave they’re “Free”.

It’s as MLK said:

https://i1.wp.com/www.veteransnewsnow.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/Martin-Luther-King-Jr.-A-nation-that-continues-to-spend-630-x-470.jpg

America has been morally bankrupt for decades. That much is certain. The difference is now it’s simply more clear and apparent. The question to be asked is how long will it be allowed to go on?

As Paul Pierce plays his final game in Boston, the future of the Celtics is bright   Leave a comment

https://i0.wp.com/pbs.twimg.com/media/CcwJ6nOW8AAGm7J.jpg

…Paul Pierce and Isaiah Thomas. One is sure to have his number added to the rafters after he retires. The other is primed to lead the Celtics to their 18th NBA Championship. This is the first time since the 1980s that the future of the Celtics isn’t in doubt.

Who could have imagined the Len Bias incident would have seen the Celtics drop out of the playoff picture for almost a decade? When Larry Bird, Kevin McHale and Robert Parish retired (1993, 1994 and 1996) and when Reggie Lewis died in 1995, there were serious questions as to weather or not the team could return to who they once were. The ill-fated Rick Pitino era–and then the now-imfamous “Larry Bird is not walking through that door” jab on his way out after failing to lead the Celtics back to the playoffs–made the possability of a 17th Championship feel more and more like a faraway dream.

Then the Celtics signed Paul Pierce in 1999. Three years later Danny Ainge hired Doc Rivers, who led the Celtics to the 2nd Round of the NBA Playoffs in his first year as Head Coach of the Celtics (2002). The untimely death of legendary Celtics coach Red Aurbach (8 Championships in 10 years) in 2006 reminded the team that although they were getting good, they weren’t good enough to contend with the then emerging superstar LeBron James or the favorite to return to the NBA Finals, the Detroit Pistons.

https://i0.wp.com/images4.fanpop.com/image/photos/17900000/Boston-Celtics-the-big-3-boston-celtics-17951212-435-283.jpg

https://i2.wp.com/www.wallcoo.net/sport/nba_celtics_0708/images/wallpaper_finals2008_brotherhood.jpg
So, during the summer of 2007 Danny Ainge pulled the trigger on a trade that brought Kevin Garnett to the Boston Celtics in exchange for Gerald Green (who is now back with the Celtics this year) and 3 other young players. A few weeks later, the Celtics signed Free Agent Ray Allen. Just like that, the Celtics were now contenders going into the 2007-08 NBA Season. 1 year later, the Celtics woyld raise Banner 17 to the rafters.

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/C2GhsHAWEAAxYmd.jpghttps://i0.wp.com/weartesters.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/Thomas-Pick-Me-Last-Ver1-1024x785.jpg

As the last and most beloved member of what was then The New Big 3 prepares to retire, the Celtics firmly control their own destiny. Isaiah Thomas, who was drafted last in the 2nd round of the 2010 NBA Draft is 2nd in Points Per Game behind Russell Westbrook this year. He became the first Celtic since Paul Pierce back in 2006 to score 50+ points in a game in December. He has had SEVERAL 40+ games since mid-December including Friday’s win over the Lakers.

I haven’t even gotten to the supporting cast: You’ve got Al Horford (signed with Boston during the offseason), Avery Bradey (when he returns from injury), Terry Rozier and 1st Round Draft Pick Jaylen Brown (A workhorse with LeBron James’ basketball IQ). You also have Marcus Smart, Jae Crowder, Jonas Jerebko and Kelly Olynik.

There’s also the Brooklyn Nets picks from the trade that sent Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett from Boston to Brooklyn. Looks like the Celtics are primed to hit it BIG in the next draft to boot: Last year’s draft was just about Ben Simmons (missed half the season with an injury) and Brandon Ingram but Jaylen Brown’s been having one hell of season. Don’t even get me started on the NBA Players who have come up in conversation for a possible trade to Boston before the deadline.

…Getting back to The Truth, he ended his final appearance in Boston with a streak that would remain unbroken: He has scored a basket in every game he’s ever played in The Garden. Fitting that Paul Pierce would score the final basket and his only basket of the game. It would not be enough as the Celtics would go on to win the game 107-102. The three-pointer was more of a token from the home team, who gave him the wide open shot. No doubt the “We want Paul Pierce!” chants during most of the fourth quarter will be a moment he will never forget. As many have said, you can be sure Celtics fans will see more of The Truth after he retires as a player.

The time is now to think about who will come after Trump   Leave a comment

This is the GOP’s message to the world more or less.

Based on the events of this past weekend, there are serious questions as to weather or not Trump will even last the rest of the year: Republicans have already started to rebel barely two weeks into Trump’s presidency. Of course, we knew the GOP was just planning to use Trump to deregulate everything, increase military spending and give tax cuts to those who don’t need ’em. That was the plan from the beginning but things have clearly escalated much faster than expected.

We’ll know for sure over the next two months for sure. That brings me to the subject of the title: Mike Pence.

We will need to watch very closely to see how they package Trump’s exit and how they present Pence being sworn in as President. I see one of two things happening:

  1.  Pence starts publicly speaking out against Trump in the next few weeks or months (“My loyalty is to the will of the American people first”, etc.), leading to him asking Congress to impeach Trump (Very Likely).
  2. The GOP moves to impeach Trump on their own and declares Pence will be acting President (Most Likely).

I doubt it will be anything other than one of those two things. It will all be about how the GOP packages Trump’s exit we need to pay very close attention to. He will likely be presented as a “Benevolent Ruler” or a “Savior” coming to fix everything Trump did. In fact, that should be the assumption unless there is a full reset on the cabinet.

One thing you should know about the GOP if you don’t already: They ALWAYS do what they say they will. Of course, it’s early to be thinking about that but it’s something to keep in mind. It’s not a matter of if but “WHEN” and When is probably happening alot sooner than anyone could have imagined:

https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/b/b4/Sally_Q._Yates.jpg/220px-Sally_Q._Yates.jpg

In case you don’t know who she is, this is Sally Yates. Until Monday afternoon, she was the Federal Attorney General. She was fired by President Trump within an hour of declaring she would not defend Trump’s controversial anti-Muslim executive order last Friday Jess Sessions was appointed acting AG and has ordered Federal Judges nationwide to upjold Trump’s executive order. Of course, they can’t since the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) took the government to court over it and won. LOL. Round 2 should be in a matter of days if not hours. Thanks to the $24.1 million in donations they received over the weekend–20 times what they normally get a year–they’re good to go.

…Mind you, This is on top of Trump removing the the Joint Chiefs of Staff from the National Security Council and replacing them with Steve Bannon on Friday. Yes, THAT Steve Bannon.

The thing about all these moves that folks need to keep in mind is there ARE checks and Balances. Some of those in the middle and most on the Left are wondering why the Dems aren’t doing anything other than angrily shaking their fists at the White House. Some of those in the middle and many on the Right are cheering on Trump’s actions so far, feeling “This is how things are suppose to be”.

…Weather you’re in the middle, on the left, on the right or wherever, this is something you should know: There are checks and balances and what Trump is doing IS a blatant abuse of power. It’s just a question of when the GOP will move to impeach Trump and I can assure those of you who are pro-Trump, they WILL. They’ll do it when it’s most convenient for them to do so. Timing’s not quite there yet.

When you know what’s going to happen next, you have no reason to be too concerned. By all means, be careful but what will happen in the near future is too easy to not know at this point. Please donate to the ACLU. They are non-partisan and are for everyone.

A REPUBLICAN Washington Insider confirmed what I said over the last 6 months!   Leave a comment

https://img.washingtonpost.com/wp-apps/imrs.php?src=https://img.washingtonpost.com/rf/image_960w/2010-2019/WashingtonPost/2016/07/21/Production/Health/Images/APTOPIX_GOP_2016_Convention-2b56b.jpg&w=480

As a reminder, I said this on the eve of the Republican National Convention last summer:

“We all laughed at the very idea. Then he started saying all the things the Republican Party didn’t dare say publicly. “There’s no way he’s serious about getting elected.” we thought to ourselves. “He’s getting bad advice.” we thought. Perhaps to his own surprise, racists and biggots who felt the same came out of their parents’ basements and out of the woodwork to voice their support of him. Much to the shagrin of  the at one point 17 other Republican Candidates, Trump’s popularity within the party continued to rise until he was the last man standing.”

A few weeks later, I said this:

“The one thing you have to give the GOP credit for is at least you know where they stand 100% of the time.”

In September, I said this after the first debate:

“Based on what I saw tonight, I honestly would not be bothered with Trump as president simply because we know what will be getting.”

I said this the day after the election:

The proverbial “Nightmare Scenario” is now a reality. No, not Trump winning the White House but the GOP controlling Washington. The Republicans control the House, the Senate and soon the Supreme Court. THAT is an even bigger problem in comparison.”

…Man oh man, maybe I should be a political advisor for someone. LOL. I did you the favor of not only provinig the quotes relevant to what I’m about to share but the links so you can go back and read the articles they all came from. When you read what I’m about to share with you, it will make a whole lot of sense.

Robert Reich posted an interesting conversation he had with an unnamed former REPUBLICAN Congressman in Washington this week on Facebook. Here is the FULL Text of their conversation:

I had breakfast recently with a friend who’s a former Republican member of Congress. Here’s what he said:

Him: Trump is no Republican. He’s just a big fat ego.

Me: Then why didn’t you speak out against him during the campaign?

Him: You kidding? I was surrounded by Trump voters. I’d have been shot.

Me: So what now? What are your former Republican colleagues going to do?

Him (smirking): They’ll play along for a while.

Me: A while?

Him: They’ll get as much as they want – tax cuts galore, deregulation, military buildup, slash all those poverty programs, and then get to work on Social Security and Medicare – and blame him. And he’s such a fool he’ll want to take credit for everything.

Me: And then what?

Him (laughing): They like Pence.

Me: What do you mean?

Him: Pence is their guy. They all think Trump is out of his mind.

Me: So what?

Him: So the moment Trump does something really dumb – steps over the line – violates the law in a big stupid clumsy way … and you know he will …

Me: They impeach him?

Him: You bet. They pull the trigger.

There ya go. I have shared this post with several people but this conversation has been verified as AUTHENTIC.

Finally, read this article I wrote last month. The whole thing.

…NOW do you see why my last two posts about Trump were so restrained? NOW Do you understand WHY I said what I said in that last article?

Turns out I was right: The Trump’s the scapegoat. Pence is being prepped to take over for him, which the GOP apparently believes will be before or by the midterm elections. Trump gets impeached and forced out of office and Pence takes his place. By default, the current Speaker of the House–Paul Ryan–will become the new Vice President. Exactly as planned.

The GOP’s just patiently waiting for right the oppoortunity to turn on Trump. The fact that this was revealed a week into the new adminstration tells me they are confident they won’t have to wait too long to impeach him. The funny thing is it’s likely Trump already knows this and doesn’t care. So, the GOP and Trump are keeping up appearances for now. What Trump will find out when the time comes is the limits of the Executive Branch.

Note the things listed above the GOP is rushing to get. They’ll get most of them:

  • Most of the Deregulation and midterms will probably be rolled back after the midterms. I already know which ones.
  • Military buildup will probably not happen. One thing President Obama did the Republicans actually AGREED with was he proved the Military can operate just fine on a reduced budget. The GOP might divert money to black projects but nothing more than that.
  • Poverty Programs…the GOP will be forced to back out of this, more so if a natural disaster like Katrina hits.
  • Social Security and Medicare…the Everest of “Welfare” programs the GOP has wanted to get rid of for DECADES. They will try but they will ultimately fail to eliminate both.
  • Trump is no fool. He’s an egolomaniac but he’s no fool. He’s made it clear he loves revenge. If he goes down, you can be damned sure he’s taking as many people down with him as possible.

The GOP actually thinks they’re playing Trump. The GOP still hasn’t figured out they won’t be able to use Trump like they think they will. By the time they do, it’ll be too late and they will have handed Washington back to the Democrats on a silver platter!

So, all we have to do is sit back, watch and wait. Of course, we need to make sure our voices are heard, too.

What really sucks about these four years is those in need and the working poor will be made to suffer the most. Why? Because they’re not privileged, multi-national corporations or billionaires, that’s why. The GOP should lose control of Congress in 2018 if the current course doesn’t change. Assuming Trump is impeached before that time–and the GOP will likely try to arrange for Trump’s exit before the midterms so Pence is president for at least two full years–Pence will make the case for four more years. Since he’d be finishing what would be Trump’s first term, he would only be able to serve an additional term as President and would not be allowed to run again.

When the Dems retake Washington, they need to have it made clear WHO they’re supposed to be working for, not who they take money from. That was their mistake last year and it cost them the White House. I may no longer endorse the Democratic Party but whoever the Dems package for 2020 needs to be someone strong enough to defeat both Trump (if he’s still in office) and Pence (assuming he takes over). Pence is the GOP’s Ace in the Hole so whoever challenges the GOP needs to be strong enough to beat him in the 2020 election should that matchup happen. That’s when the Dems have their opening: Unless they repeat last year’s mistakes (which sadly is very possible), it should not be too hard to make the case for change in 2020, more so if they retake Congress in 2018.
